Data Analytics
Splunk
We use Splunk to understand how our game developers are game developers are building and integrating the services that are included into the game, to better understand the usage patterns of the services and do proper API management. This way we have a better understanding of their usage, their misuse or abuse, capacity planning making sure that members are happy.
If our servers are down, then all the online games and online features of the game are going down as well.
Splunk essentially provide us the visibility we need to be ready for everything. We use Splunk in our monitoring while working on the game as well. So if things go wrong, we know earlier in the process and take actions to fix the problem in a timely-manner to make sure our services are always available.
However, observability isn't always only about machine data or network data. It's part of a broader context where we can see everything going on inside the application about the digital experience of members.
From a digital experience management perspective, we believe that the metrics that we pull out of our game using data analytics with Splunk are one the most useful and important metrics in our offering.
